Foot & Gait Scans
The Diers Pedioscan is a foot pressure and gait analysis system. This means it measures how your weight is distributed underfoot and records how your foot moves and balances when you stand and walk..
Pressure distribution, pressure peaks, movement asymmetries and the rollover motion of your foot are all recorded to help diagnose foot malformations or functional limitations of the lower extremities (hips, knees, ankles, feet). Even rapid movements and shifts in the body’s centre of gravity and load changes are recorded at a high measurement of 100Hz, which can also provide additional information about neurological issues.
Every foot is unique to its owner. With this in mind, shoe fitting should start with knowing a little more about your feet.
The Aetrex iStep foot scanner is one of our first steps in properly fitting your shoes. When standing on the plate, the iStep quickly identifies your arch type, foot size and pressure points. It then recommends ideal orthotic styles for your individual needs.
With the right orthotic insole or shoe you can prevent needless foot pain, (or even knee, hip and back pain) and stop more serious conditions from developing.
